    Shri Satyapoorna Matha

Sri Satyapoorna Math at Kanchipuram, Tamilnadu has a centuries old history. Established many centuries ago at this city of temples, the Math has traditionally offered service to Sri Hari and devotees alike. Shri Shri 1008 Shri Satyapoorna Theertharu, a great saint in the lineage of Sri Uttaradi Math used to stay at Kanchi and offer seva to Sri Varadaraja Swamy. He also used to run a Vidyapeetha (gurukula) at Kanchi those days.

Sri Satya Poorna Math currently has a brindavan containing mruthikas of Sri Raghavendra Swamy and Sri Satya Poorna Theertharu. Above the brindavan is a pancha mukhi Anjaneya idol. Various idols of Sri Rama are also worshiped as a part of the daily Pooja there. The entire sanctum sanctorum is in an stone mantapa, which is at least 3 centuries old. The old structure has been retained while developments have also happened to cater to the needs of the modern day devotees. The prakara around the sanctum sanctorum is wide enough and allows peaceful pradakshine and namaskara.

A new building has been constructed next to the traditional Math building and it is a 3 storied structure containing several rooms and halls. Devotees can perform family functions at Kanchi, thanks to this new building. The building is also aimed at providing accommodation to the large number of devotees that will gather at Kanchi to witness the rare Atthi Varadar Raising event in 2019, as well as the Chaturmasya of Shri Satyatma Theertha Sripadangalavaru at Kanchi in 2019.

With the divine orders and directions of Shri Shri 1008 Shri Satyatma Theertha Sripadangalavaru, the present pontiff of Sri Uttaradi Math, our activities are going on very well. We conduct all major aradhanas in traditional ways. We do anna dhana at Sri Uttaradi Math during brahmotsava of Sri Varadaraja Swamy. A Go Shala is run at the Sri Matha where we take care of many cows. Our aim is to have every Hari Bhakta visit Kanchipuram at least once during his/her life time. We welcome all devotees to visit Moksha Puri Kanchipuram at the earliest possible and obtain the blessings of Sri Hari Vayu Gurugalu.
